TCFMA: Teller County Farmers Market Association was
formed in 1990 to provide a forum for sales of local produce
and items associated with farming and gardening. The
association is a non-profit organization operated by
volunteers, and is administered by a board of directors.
CO-OP: Local gardeners are encouraged to participate
by selling at market small lots of homegrown produce
including herbs, fruits & vegetables, cut flowers, and
growing plants. If available, market volunteers may help
sell these items at a designated co-op table. Growers are
responsible for cleaning, packing, and pricing. Perishable
produce is best presented in a cooler.
Small-space gardeners: If you are not sure of your harvest
days but want to participate, provide details. We will do
our best to find space for you on short notice. Try to call
a market manager by 7 pm, the day before market day.
HOURS: Deliver produce to market manager's hut
between 6:30 and 7:30 am. Market opens for business at 7:00
am and closes at 1:00 pm. Collect sales proceeds and unsold
produce by 12:45 pm.
FEES: 10% of sales over $5.00. No taxes are
collected. Unless otherwise specified, the market manager
may mark down produce that has not been sold by 11:00 am
TO APPLY: Mail applications form to market
manager, TCFMA, PO Box 464, Woodland Park, CO 80866. Board
approval of applications is required before a
grower/producer may participate in the market. Direct
questions to the market manager listed below. The board
retains the right to determine suitability of any items for
this market.
