Teller County Farmers Market Association - Information: TCFMA promotes agricultural land use by providing a direct market for growers, providing Teller County residents and visitors with a variety of fresh produce. The market encourages interest in small-scale farming and gardening, with organic and pesticide-free growing techniques. An important part of its mission is public education for health and well being. MARKET SITE: Woodland Park, CO. Center Street and Henrietta (closed to traffic). Hwy 24 to Woodland Park: turn north at lights by Ute Pass Cultural Center (Fairview Street) then left onto Henrietta Street. Market is one block north of Hwy 24 at the Cowhand. DATES: Fridays, June 15 - Sept 14 2007 HOURS: Set up from 6:00 am: open to sell at 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. Take down and clean up by 1:30 pm. Streets must be clear for traffic by 2:30 pm. A bell will be rung at 12:45 pm 15 minutes prior to closing. FEES & TAXES: For 10'x10' space, $15.00 per market day, or $140 ($5/day discount) if prepaid for the season. For daily rate, fees are paid one week in advance. 3% city sales tax on gross sales (including food). No county or state taxes on food for home consumption. Vendors responsible for county/state taxes on other items. Fees and city taxes are collected by 1:15 pm. Vendors with a Woodland Park business license may submit taxes independently.
